Find out what we're working on

The key areas we are focusing on for our work plan are listed below.

Everything we do is guided by what people tell us about their experiences of health and social care. Do you have an experience that you would like to share?

Hospital Discharge

We are looking to gather the views from patients (and/or their carers) about their experiences of leaving hospital and if there were any plans put in place on their departure. This can include people who had a long stay or short stay in hospital and those who were admitted through A&E or a planned admission. We are interested in how involved you were in the plans and if before you left you used the departure lounge or not.

If you have an experience you would like to share with us, please fill out our survey.

Hospital Waiting Times

We are looking at the waiting times people face for hospital treatment or care. We want to know your experience of waiting for the care/treatment you require and whether you have received support or information from the NHS. We would like to know how long you have been waiting and if your care or treatment was cancelled at any point and if you were kept informed whist waiting. This will help us get a clearer understanding of why there are currently 7million people waiting for care/treatment in the UK.

If you or someone you care for have had to wait for hospital care or treatment please fill out the survey below.

Hard to Reach Groups

We currently have an Inclusion Lead working on how to reach those people who don’t usually come forward, or people who struggle to be heard by services.

After a review of feedback we received, we chose 5 areas for the Inclusion Lead to focus on for the year 2023/4:

  1. Autism
  2. Veterans
  3. Refugees
  4. Areas of highest deprivation
  5. Farmers and farm workers

If you feel you fit any of the above groups, or you struggle to get your voice heard by health & care services for any other reason, please contact us. We need your feedback to help try and improve care for everyone, and we can signpost you to the right services for your needs.
