Our policy describes the arrangements for Healthwatch County Durham's Enter and View Authorised Representatives to visit premises providing health and/or care services within County Durham for the purpose of observing services and service delivery.
Our code of conduct sets out the expectations Healthwatch County Durham has of all those who work or carry out activities for it, in a voluntary or paid capacity, including board members, employees, students and volunteers.
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (AOIA) gives rights of public access to recorded information held by public authorities (such as Healthwatch County Durham).
This process is only for dealing with concerns with the volunteer relationship; for other concerns or complaints please refer to the Complaints Policy.
Volunteers support the engagement work of Healthwatch Durham across the local community by channelling the views of local people and telling us what matters to people who use health and social care services.
To help us carry out our work we receive funding from our local authority under the Health and Social Care Act 2012. Please see the attached document below for further details about our income and expenditure for 2020-21.
